In the spirit of the Royal Wedding, London has had an outbreak of Royal Wedding-related blogs, including one that included total live coverage of everything that was not the Royal Wedding on April 29, 2011. But my favorite article was one about Queen Victoria’s wedding dress, which was made from Spitalfields (local to London) silk. Vicky wore a corset of WHALEBONE and many petticoats under this wedding dress. It really is a beautiful dress, and deliberately simple (well, for royalty). For the full article, click.
