Javier Bardem, on getting his haircut for the film No Country for Old Men (full interview here): “There was no mirror. So I turn and I look at [the Coen Brothers] and they were laughing so hard. One of them fell off on the floor. And I said, ‘I need a mirror. I need a mirror right now. What’s going on here?’ And I saw it. And it was like ‘Wow, that’s really insane.’ But it’s the Coen Brothers. It was a brilliant idea. I knew that they gave me 50 percent of my character with that haircut. It was their idea.”

One of them fell on the floor. That’s the best.
